Obsidian + AI: A New Paradigm for Building Your Second Brain Knowledge Management
I switched note tools several times and ended up staying with Obsidian. Not because of some "second brain" hype, but because it stores everything locally, doesn't lock your data, and can be integrated with AI.
Below are tips I've figured out through my own use—not a tutorial, just things I'd feel uncomfortable doing any other way.
1. When taking notes, always add a line called "search dictionary"
AI finds notes based on the words in the original text. But when I want to find something, the words in my head often don't match the original text.
For example, I once wrote "spent 300 yuan repairing hiking boots," and later wanted to find "emotional value case," but the AI just couldn't find it.
My solution: after finishing a note, add a line:
